No one likes summer school. The workers, the kids, the… well, maybe the parents like it. But summer and school do not mix. They are a paradox. Especially if you're a teacher, you spent all nine months of the school year babysitting wild kids, spending nights grading papers, and weekends finishing lesson plans. The summer is supposed to be sacred. A few months of bliss where you can sleep in as late as you want to and spend all day rotting on the couch if you see fit. What you should NOT be doing in the summer is moreeeee school. But we get it. Sometimes that extra money is so worth it instead of spending your days dooms scrolling through social media. We get it. But all I'm saying is if you're given a few months off from work, that is a blessing in disguise, especially after dealing with other people's little monsters throughout the rest of the year.
