Can you believe it's only a month until Christmas? It seems like just yesterday, I was stomping around town for Halloween, and now I'm spending all of my disposable income on funny hats for my friends. Unfortunately, the holiday season isn't all positive. In a way, I've been "muddling through somehow," as the great Judy Garland said in the iconic Christmas song "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." Did y'all know that those aren't the original lyrics to that song? The original lyrics read, "Have yourself a merry little Christmas; it may be your last. Next year, we may all be living in the past." That was far too depressing. In the movie Meet Me In St. Louis, Garland sings "Someday soon we all will be together, if the fates allow. Until then, we'll have to muddle through somehow." But the version most of us know is Frank Sinatra's where he proclaims, "Hang a shining star upon the highest bough," which takes the derpessing edge out of it. If you're okay with some melancholic-pre Christmas cheer, these memes might help you muddle through somehow.
