Look, somneone has to keep you all up to date on the spicy KEMCO mobile RPGs. Why shouldnāt it be me? I was, after all, once the worldās foremost Kemcologist. I like to think Iām still pretty high up in the rankings, despite being in semi-retirement. All joking aside, I donāt think anyone thinks KEMCOās games are the fanciest dinners in town, but if you get them at a low enough price they can give you some reasonable value. Hereās one such chance! KEMCO has decided to get March rolling with deep discounts on seven of its mobile games. Letās take a look!As always, Iām just going to list them out along with the prices and savings. Iāll come back around afterwards to give you some of my comments on the games in question. Here we go!
- Dark Gate ($1.99 from $5.99) iOS | Android
- Fantasy Chronicle ($1.99 from $5.99) iOS
- Fernz Gate ($0.99 from $7.99) Android
- Miden Tower ($1.99 from $8.99) iOS | Android
- Legend of Ixtona ($1.99 from $8.99) iOS | Android
- Ruinverse ($1.99 from $8.99) iOS | Android
- Sephirothic Stories ($1.99 from $8;.99) iOS | Android
Okay, so my thoughts on these. Dark Gate and Fantasy Chronicle are as old as the hills. Like, well over a decade old. Dark Gate I never much cared for, but Fantasy Chronicle is a good meat-and-potatoes RPG. Fernz Gate is a very typical EXE-Create game, so expect tropey characters and fairly frictionless gameplay systems. Miden Tower and Ruinverse are similar, but they have some extraordinarily wacky characters in their line-ups that make them a bit more interesting.
Legend of Ixtona is a turn-based tactical RPG, and that alone might be enough to catch your interest. Sephirothic Stories is another very standard one, but it says the name Sephiroth a lot so you could pretend itās a better game, maybe. If I were to only pick a couple of games here, it would be Fantasy Chronicle and Legend of Ixtona. But you do you.
Anyway, thatās the lot. Grab them if you want, skip them if you donāt. Either way, the damage to your wallet will be fairly minimal. Personally, I think KEMCO RPGs live best in the $4.99 or lower range, so if youāre going to get them, this is the time to do so.
