They were saying that it was going to be just as much of a stinker as She-Hulk and that Marvel was alienating their target audience by making a show that mostly starred 50+ women. Against their cynical predictions, the show got 9.3 million views in its first week of being on Disney+ and has gotten nearly universal critical praise over its runtime.
There's room in the MCU for all kinds of audiences. I think it's silly to get angry at a company for making a show that doesn't directly appeal to you, as if you're the most important little boy in the world.
