I am obsessed with parents who humble brag about their kids. I know that, as a culture, we look down on overbearing stage moms and sports dads who push their kids to their absolute limits to satiate their own unfulfilled egos. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about parents who love to subtly mention that their baby has hit developmental milestones at a slightly faster pace than the other babies their age. They will talk about how early their kid was when they first sat, crawled, and walked as if that has any bearing on their future intelligence in the slightest. Even first words are utter nonsense! Everybody knows that a baby saying "dada" does not mean he knows who his dad is! "Da" is just one of the first sounds babies make! D is easier to say than M! If you're a well-adjusted person who doesn't feel the need to brag about their baby being better than other babies, these parenting posts might hit a little close to home.
